The Health Sciences programs at USD are known for a solid educational base that is balanced by realistic and practical clinical training with an interdisciplinary flavor. Our programs are characterized by the warm personal interactions that come with training in a rural Midwestern state. In many of our programs, students have opportunities for training in a variety of urban and rural settings. An education at the University of South Dakota is one of the most affordable in the nation.


The School of Health Sciences at the University of South Dakota consists of eight allied health programs (Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies, Medical Technology, Social Work) and is part of the School of Medicine.
