Admission is limited to currently licensed LPNs with an unencumbered active LPN license.

Note:
The LPN to RN student must complete all general education courses (30 hours) and departmental requirements. Anatomy & Physiology I (PHGY 220 /220L ) and Anatomy & Physiology II (PHGY 230 /230L ) must be completed prior to admission to LPN to RN.
Beginning the 2015/2016 academic year, LPN/PN to RN students will receive 8 credits for LPN license and be required to complete 3 full semesters of nursing coursework including NURS 261, NURS 282, and NURS 286. Entering LPN/PN students will be required to complete a one credit bridge course which would include face-face and online components prior to starting NURS 261 beginning academic year 2015/2016. Support coursework requirements will include:
- Completion of Physiology 220 before NURS 261
- Completion of Physiology 230 prior to or concurrent with NURS 261
- Completion of Math102 prior to or concurrent with NURS 282
- Completion of remaining required general education courses prior to completion of NURS 286 .
LPN’s seeking admission for Fall 2015 should contact an advisor for specific guidance on required course sequencing and plan of study. Required Testing:
The South Dakota Board of Regents Proficiency Examination: All students seeking undergraduate degrees must achieve satisfactory performance on The South Dakota Board of Regents Proficiency Examination, the Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP).
