Admissions Information
A variety of options are available for secondary school teachers or others who are interested in further development of knowledge and skills necessary for leadership roles in education. Other options available include curriculum director and teacher certification. Maximum flexibility provides for meeting students’ particular interests, backgrounds, and needs.

Master of Arts, Secondary Education Plan B (non–thesis) option: Total 33 credit hours
- Secondary Education 18 credit hours
- Specializations 15 credit hours
Note
- Plan A (thesis) also available. Four credit hours of thesis are required in lieu of an elective. Secondary Education: 18 credit hours
Secondary Education Specializations: Select one (1)
American Indian: 15 credit hours
English Language Learning: 15 credit hours
Gifted Education: 15 credit hours
Language Arts: 15 credit hours
Select 15 graduate credits of Language Arts, English, Reading, Speech or Theatre (minimum of 6 of these credits in ELED or SEED) Science, Technology or Math (STM): 15 credit hours
Select 15 graduate credits of Science, Technology or Math (minimum of these credits in ELED, TET or SEED) Social Science: 15 credit hours
Select 15 graduate credits of any combination of approved Social Studies, History or Political Science, Government, Psychology, Economics, Sociology or Geography |
