Admissions Information
The Specialist degree program in school district administration has been developed to meet specific needs and backgrounds of students. Based on this premise individual programs are developed through the cooperative efforts of the student, the faculty advisor, and the advisory committee. The emphasis in the development of individual programs is to provide a general background in educational administration, specific preparation which may be unique to the field of public school administration, and the development of supportive area fields which will enhance the student’s ability to meet his/her educational needs and professional goals.
No one may be admitted to the Administration program unless he/she holds a teacher’s certificate (not a temporary permit) based on a Bachelor’s degree and has had at least three years of successful teaching experience.

Specialist in Education, Superintendent, (non–thesis): Total 62 credit hours with a minimum of 32 credit hours beyond a conferred master’s degree.
