Additional Departmental Requirements

Note:

Must do half of student teaching in kindergarten placement.

A student must have a CGPA of 2.7 to achieve the following:

  • to co-register for EDFN 338  and SEED 296  
  • to be admitted to Teacher Education Program

Early childhood courses are not offered each semester. Therefore, follow the catalog carefully and visit with an academic advisor when in doubt.

Must be admitted into Teacher Education to be enrolled in courses in junior year and beyond.

System General Education Requirements Elementary Education (32 credit hours*)

*Note: ARTE 310 and MUS 353 are listed twice, they are required under Nondepartmental Requirements so not listed in the total hours of System General Education Requirements.
