BIOL 421 - Advanced Geospatial Analyses


This course applies open-source remote sensing and GIS to address ecological questions through research projects. Students will also be introduced to planetary scale remote sensing and multi-sensor approaches. Geospatial application areas include terrain modeling, rangeland/natural resource management, precision agriculture, forestry/vegetation, natural disasters such as drought & floods.

Prerequisites and Corequisites
Pre-reqs: BIOL 484 - Remote Sensing (C)  / BIOL 584, BIOL 484L - Remote Sensing Lab (C)  / BIOL 584L, ANTH 425 - Introduction to Geographical Information Systems  / ESCI 425  / POLS 425
