ANTH 340 - Historical Archaeology The discipline of historical archaeology employs the methods of archaeology and history. Historical archaeologists study the past by integrating material culture and documentary research. Interpretations are anthropologically oriented. Students will survey historical archaeology, examine case examples, and study methods and theories. They will practice historical archaeology in a laboratory setting using artifacts and documents.
