PHTH 237 - Introduction to Physical Therapy This course offers a broad introduction to the roles and responsibilities of today’s physical therapists. Students will gain knowledge of the physical therapist’s role in medical, rehabilitative, occupational, athletic, home-based, and educational practice settings. Students will acquire an understanding of relevant medical terminology and will explore professional issues and ethical topics relevant to the PT profession. Students will utilize decision-making and critical judgment skills to assess impairments and to establish realistic goals and interventions.
Prerequisites and Corequisites Prereqs: BIOL 151 - General Biology I (C) [SGR #6, HSDC] and BIOL 151L - General Biology I Lab (C) [SGR #6, HSDC]
