ANTH 425 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems Description This course in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is designed and intended to provide students with a basic introduction to the theory, principles, and practical applications of land-based studies. Course will include technology applications to land-based sciences, natural resources management, rural and urban planning and environment assessment. Laboratory exercises to include use of both raster and vector based GIS systems.
