BIOC 310 - Biological Chemistry Description Fundamental course directed to students in medical laboratory science. Survey of the chemistry of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids; the metabolic transformation associated with energy yielding and energy requiring processes of the cell; the biochemical basis of the transfer of genetic information; basic biochemical techniques and some clinical methods. Lecture and laboratory component.
