Our accounting faculty brings to the classroom a wealth of teaching expertise and knowledge in the field based on professional experience. They are business experts, innovative teachers and dedicated mentors who instruct students on business methods and then apply their teaching through school-sponsored, student-run organizations. Majoring in accounting is an excellent way to explore fields of public accounting including tax, audit, advisory services, forensic accounting, consulting, governmental accounting and auditing. Our faculty also provide students with instructions in the fields of cost, managerial accounting, and systems so that students can explore jobs in corporate accounting. Plenty of accounting internships are available to our students. Accounting coursework prepares our students to sit for the CPA examination.
Majoring in finance is an excellent way to explore the fields of corporate finance, investments, financial planning, portfolio management, banking, mergers and acquisitions, insurance, real estate, security analysis and international finance. Our finance faculty provide you with many opportunities to apply the theories you learn in the classroom. They do this by incorporating real-world case studies, trading simulations, management simulations and project assignments into their courses.
